Event Description
Our Saturday Course is a full day total wine immersion experience hosted in a beautiful boutique hotel close to the River Severn. It includes Champagne and canapes on arrival, a total of 12 wines to taste and a delicious 2-course lunch.
The day is hosted in a private room at the Lion & Pheasant Hotel, Shrewsbury. This is a beautifully presented boutique hotel. Lunch is served in the hotel restaurant.
Overview of the day:
- We kick off at 11.00am with a glass of Champagne and canapes
- An introduction to wine including how to sniff and slurp like a professional
- A tasting of classic white wines from the Old and New World including France, Germany, Spain and New Zealand
- A delicious 2 course seasonal lunch served in the Hotel's Restaurant
- A tasting of red wines from the Old and New World, including Bordeaux, Chianti and Rioja, compared with Australia, South Africa or Argentina
- The day will finish at 4.00pm
