Event Description
Rosé wine is incredibly popular, or tres chic as the French would say (and it’s extremely popular in France).
France is the largest producer (and largest consumer) of rosé, and in the South of France (especially Provence) it is the dominant wine type produced.
Alongside France, in Europe, Italy, Spain and Portugal are large producers if rosé and even England makes rosé, some right here in Shropshire.
Alternatively, and in a very different style, the “blush” Zinfandels of California sell all over the world in huge volumes. These wines are low-alcohol and quite sweet, which are very different from most European rosés.
In addition, there are of course sparkling wines that are pink too, and we will include one of these in our tasting.
For our “pink passion” evening we will include rosé wines from the following countries:
- France
- Spain
- Italy
- England
- USA
Come along and discover for yourself why rosé is so popular and what makes it a wonderful drink on a warm summers evening.
This event is designed for beginners with no experience necessary.
