Event Description
Incredible Iberia! In Europe’s sunny south west, the winemakers of Spain and Portugal are reinvigorating old vineyards and reviving indigenous grape varieties, while at the same time embracing the latest viticultural and winemaking practices. The result is the best of both worlds, with traditional and modern techniques combining to produce distinctive, characterful wines.
During this session we will taste 6 wines, taking in the classics like Rioja, of course, but alongside Tempranillo we’ll also discover Garnacha, and Galicia’s rising star grape, Albariño.
We’ll take a look at some of the other lesser-known regions too, and the grape varieties that talented producers from across these two dynamic countries are using to create wines that are definitely worth getting to know.
