Event Description
Italy is home to an amazing array of grapes - with around 350 varieties authorised for use in wine production! And because its inhabitants have been making wine for millennia, it has many historic, unique wine making traditions and techniques too.
Take a trip from top to toe as we taste 6 wines from this endlessly fascinating country. We’ll take in some of the most famous wine regions and discover just a few of Italy’s signature grape varieties, including Nebbiolo and Sangiovese. With a stylish line up of sophisticated whites and smooth reds, we’ll guide you from Piedmont to Puglia and points in between.
We’ll explore how each wine is made and who by, show you where to look for bargains and, in a country with a food culture as deliciously diverse as its wines, suggest what to pair with each wine too.
