French Wine Explorer - Four Week Package
Including...
Explore the cool climate regions of northern France - Alsace with its rich, aromatic and full flavoured whites, the Loire and its crisp whites and refreshing reds, and Champagne, home to the finest sparkling wines against which all others are judged.
Burgundy is home to some of the most revered (and most expensive!) wines on the planet, but there is still value to be found, not least from neighbouring Beaujolias. We'll take in little known Jura too, a region just waiting to be discovered.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot reign supreme in Bordeaux, creating red wines that are often copied, rarely bettered. Despite their fame, there is still much to discover. Surrounding regions are a treasure trove of fascinating, lesser known wines.
The warm south of France is home to delicious rosés, rich whites and robust reds from Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Innovation combines with tradition here, where French winemaking began, on the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean.
