Event Description
Two widely grown grapes. Lots of potential for greatness, lots of inexpensive, simple wines made. Come along to discover the true potential of Two of the country's most widely consumed wine making grapes.
Pinot Grigio/Gris: When picked early, the grape creates easy drinking, simple wines to be consumed in their youth. When left on the vine for longer the grape changes in a way that has to be tasted to be believed. Think peaches, mangos and ginger, a great food paring wine.
Merlot: A great grape in the making. Like Pinot Grigo, it can make approachable, inexpensive wines full of plummy fruit. However, it also is responsible for one of the world's most expensive wines; Château Pétrus.
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tasting sheet, and use of professional tastings glasses.
