WSET Courses

WSET qualifications are a 'must have' for anybody seriously considering a career in the wine industry. They are also a great way for wine enthusiasts to learn about wine in a fun and structured way.

Sussex Wine School has been an approved provider of WSET courses since 2012. Our team of experienced WSET Certified Educators will guide you through your course. We have created additional learning resources to help students and pass rates are consistently better than the global average. We are proud to partner with the Drinks Trust via their DEVELOP programme, to support those on a low income to join our flagship WSET courses. 

Brighton WSET Courses at a glance

WSET Level 1 in Wine:  Discover and taste the main grape varieties, plus explore food and wine pairing. 6 wines tasted / 7 hrs tuition / 0 hrs home study / multiple-choice exam. 

WSET Level 2 in Wine:  Taste a wider range of grapes and wine styles and start exploring the wines regions of the world. 40+ wines tasted / 18 hrs tuition / 14 hrs home study / multiple-choice exam. 

WSET Level 3 in Wine:  Delve deeper into the world of wines gaining a detailed understanding of grape growing and wine making. Learn how to assess wines accurately, and confidently explain wine style and quality. 60+ wines tasted / 30 hrs tuition / 54 hrs home study / 2 hour exam: multiple-choice & written answer paper + blind-tasting paper.

We also offer Level 1 in Wine and Level 2 in Wine ONLINE with live tuition via Zoom.

World of Wine Course  Our own most popular flagship course. More relaxed, more flexible, and brilliant alternative to Level 1 and Level 2, with emphasis on learning by tasting 48 wines.  8 x Evenings / 16 hrs tuition / No home study / No Exam. 
WSET Courses with enhanced learning support

Our WSET courses combine expert-led, in-person teaching with structured online learning support to help you build knowledge, develop confidence and prepare effectively for your exam.

All Level 2 and Level 3 courses now include access to a dedicated online learning package from Wine With Jimmy, at no additional cost. Designed to reinforce key concepts and support your revision, this additional resource allows you to study flexibly alongside your classroom sessions.

It's a more complete learning experience — giving you the support you need to succeed.

Wine with Jimmy FAQs

Is the Wine With Jimmy support package included in the course price?

Yes; access is included with your WSET Level 2 or 3 wine course at no additional cost.

How do I access the WWJ earning support?

Book your WSET Level 2 or Level 3 wine course and you'll be sent your activation code on the 1st day of your course. Simply redeem your code on the Wine With Jimmy website to activate your learning support package.

How long will I have access to the Wine With Jimmy support platform for?

Your access lasts for 12 months from the date you redeem/activate your code. Please bear in mind if you activate your code and then delay your classroom course for any reason or your exam is delayed, your access is still only valid for one year from the day you redeem/activate your code.

What does the Wine With Jimmy package include?

The platform provides complementary support to your classroom learning and is designed to help you build knowledge, reinforce key concepts, and support your revision and exam preparation using multi-media learning tools and revision strategies. Alongside our expert-led, in-person teaching, it gives you flexible, on-demand support to guide your learning every step of the way. It is a more complete way to study, combining the best of classroom experience with additional support when you need it. 

Do I still need to attend the classroom course?

Yes; the online learning support is designed to complement your in-person teaching, not replace it. Your classroom sessions remain the core of the course, with the online materials providing additional support alongside your studies.

What should I do if I experience difficulties accessing the Wine With Jimmy platform?

If your issue is with the acess code not being recognised, please contact the Local Wine School where you made your booking. 

Once you have activated your account if you experience any technical issues or difficulties accessing materials please contact the Wine With Jimmy team at info@winewithjimmy.com 

What should I do if I experience technical issues or issues on the WWJ platform after I have activated my code?
