Event Description
Beaujolais is experiencing a well deserved renaissance. The wine region has done sterling work in reminding us of the diversity of its wine styles from Nouveau to Regional, Villages to Crus, its soils and terroirs with a new Geopark project and the amazingly food friendly nature of its wines. Top quality Cru wines from Beaujolais represent excellent value for money for their quality, with some of them tasting very Pinot Noir like.
You can celebrate all thing Beaujolais at this fun, tasty evening of Beaujolais wines, cheeses and charcuterie scheduled appropriately on Beaujolais Nouveau Day - Thurs 19th Nov.
Six wines on tasting including:
- Beaujolais Nouveau from a top producer
- Beaujolais Regional wine
- Beaujolais Villages
- Beaujolais Cru lighter in style eg. Fleurie, Saint-Amour
- Beaujolais Cru medium bodied eg. Brouilly, Chiroubles
- Beaujolais Cru fuller in style eg. Morgon, Moulin a Vent
Each wine will be paired with charcuterie and cheese to demonstrate just how food friendly they are.
