By popular demand! Our very first Vegan bites and wine pairing evening. We love a food and wine matching evening, so it only felt right that we embraced the ever popular world of veganism.
On this tasting we'll match up some of the classic vegan flavours with some delicious wines from around the globe. We'll see how the complex flavours can complement each other, bringing out the flavours of both. Food and Wine matching is a true gastronomic delight, and we're going to talk through some general principals to give you some really good tips to take away and practice at home.
We will also discuss what makes a wine certified as 'Vegan', alongside organics, biodynamics and all things low intervention in the world of winemaking.
We'll try 7 different food and wine combinations, these will be announced a little closer to the event but include some of the following:
- Tomato Bruschetta with Italian Red
- Hard vegan cheese with Cabernet Sauvignon
- Olive Tapenade with Fino
- Vegan Pakora with Gewurztraminer
- Dark Chocolate with Maury
- Aubergine bites with French Rose
- Vegan Rolls with Rioja
- Dairy Free ice cream with PX sherry
- Vegan Pesto with Soave
- Spinich & Tomato Quiche with Syrah
