Event Description
Discover the wines of North-East Italy. From popular Pinot Grigio to the rich Amarones, this region has it all. We'll be uncovering these as well as some of the region's hidden gems.
The North-East of Italy has a wide range of wines of all colours, styles and qualities. It is also fast becoming the home of modern wine movements such as Biodynamics and the Natural Wine movement. This tasting will include a selection of the following:
- Pinot Grigio-there is more to this grape than light, fresh, large volume wines
- Prosecco
- Soave-the 80's classic is making a comeback
- Orange wine
- Lambrusco
- A red from the hilly Alto Adige region
- Valpolicella-it's not all full bodied, high alcohol
- Amarone
- Recioto
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tasting sheet, and use of professional tastings glasses.
