Event Description
Barolo and Barbaresco are two of Italy's top wine regions with a fantastic reputation worldwide. Both produce top wines from the Nebbiolo grape, traditionally fermented in large oak vessels, but change is afoot. After spending time in the region this year, Italian wine fan and expert Carrie will lead a masterclass on 2 of Italy's heavy weight wines.
The tasting will cover:
- Different communes and the impact on the wine
- Wine making changes in the region
- Explore classic vintages and those to put in your cellar
- The difference bottle age can make
- Icons of the region
- Up and coming producers
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, tasting sheet, a digital presentation and use of professional tastings glasses.
