Event Description
Albariño was the grape variety that showed that Spain could make great white wines in the modern style. Aromatic and with crisp acidity, with a mineral edge and a saline tang that speaks of its home on the coasts of Galicia, this is a grape variety that is so easy to love.
Spain’s best place for white wines? There’s now more competition from other parts of the country for the title, but Rias Baixas is still holding its own, and the wines are getting better year by year. The Albariño grape thrives in the granite rich-soils in this green and pleasant part of the world. Galicia is often referred to as Green Spain, but with a range of wines on show, we will demonstrate the range of styles that Albariño can achieve, there’ll also be a chance to see how other varieties, red as well as white, perform here.
Cheese & crackers provided as well as some branded, wine related goodies!
