Event Description
Join us once again at Friends of Ham for another delicious Small Plates dinner prepared by their brilliant kitchen team. The theme is "Trésors de la Terre", or Treasures of the Earth, meaning we have a delicious menu of food inspired by French techniques but highlighting delicious root vegetables in all their glory!
There is a seriously delicious menu in preparation, and Laura will be pairing it with some equally excellent wines - you'll taste at least 9 fantastic drops, each paired beautifully.
Vegetarians - please let us know when you make your booking that you would like the vegetarian option. For other dietary requirements, please contact us to see if these can be accomodated.
Below is a provisional menu - there may be some small tweaks to this:
1. BEEF TARTARE
Top-side beef joint, kohlrabi, capers, shallots, soy emulsion and togarashi brushed pâte brisée
V option, Celeriac tartare with kohlrabi, caper, shallots, soy emulsion and togarashi brushed pâte brisée
2. SALT BAKED BEETROOT
Variety or salt baked beetroots, whipped goat cheese and pickled beetroots on sourdough
3. CHICKEN SUPREME
Roast chicken supreme, celeriac puree, roast allium, miso fortified chicken jus, lovage oil
V option, Braised leeks, celeriac puree, beurre blanc split with burnt leek oil
4. PRE-DESSERT
Peach and ginger compote, whipped yogurt, yuzu
5. CHOCOLATE STOUT CAKE
Chocolate stout cake, whipped ganache and parsnip crisp
