Course Description
A tour of Antipodean delights awaits as we set off on a tour around the Tasman sea to sip on the vinous joys of Cental Otago Pinot Noir, Canterbury Riesling, a Barossa Shiraz or two and perhaps a cheeky Tazzy Chardonnay?
But we won’t just be scoping out the usual favourites, Australia and New Zealand have a wealth of emerging regions and new grape varieties to explore. Drop in with us at the King Valley to see how Italian varieties such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese and even Aglianico are thriving here! Jim Barry has set his sights on exploring Greek varieties in the Clare Valley-
keep an eye out for a special Assyrtiko from him! Or how about New Zealand’s often overlooked North Island? Hawkes Bay Bordeaux Blends to die for, Wahaike Island Syrah to rival Hermitage, there’s plenty to see, sip and learn round here…
