Event Description
America has contributed hugely to the world of wine - both in terms of wine styles and root stocks - but California is always the region everyone focuses on which basically does the rest of this huge landmass a massive disservice!
We'll criss-cross our way across the entire continent, north and south, to explore new wines, styles and regions from the cool vineyards near Chile's Tierra del Fuego to the equally cool vineyards of Canada's Lake Ontario and everything in between!
Whilst the wines we show differ each time, here are some examples of what we have included in the past:
- Cool climate, aromatic wines of Bio-Bio, Itata
- Newly emerging wines from Patagonia
- Rich, spicy & hearty reds from the classic Chilean & Argentine regions.
- Wines of Brazil - new, emerging and very unique!
- Fresh, vibrant whites from the Atacama Desert.
- Bordeaux style blends from Napa & Sonoma
- Big Syrahs and Zinfandel's from the Lodi
- Oregon's classic Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays
- The aromatic whites of Washington's desert vineyards
- Lusciously sweet ice wine and aromatic dry wines from Canada
Your tasting will include: a tasting samples of six carefully selected wines, tasting samples of artisan cheeses, full wine notes & handouts, a 2 hour interactive presentation, with Q&A, led by our wine tutor.
Note - This evening is part of our core 8 week World of Wine course. Book all 8 evenings and save 10%! It's flexible, so if you have to skip an evening you can pick it up next time it runs.
Sussex Wine School wine tastings are led by qualified wine educators and include 6 wines tasting samples, a digital presentation, tasting notes and nibbles.
