We've joined forces with Curio Wine Bar at Preston Circus for a pop evening of warming fireside red wines.
Sylvie has been rummaging in the Curio wine cellar and picked out her top suggestions to accompany you by the fire this autumn / winter as the nights draw in.
Not only do these wines pair well with the time of year, but they go beautifully with the change in seasonal foods. As the autumn leaves fall and winter and Christmas beckon, our meals take on a more earthy character with game, mushrooms, slow roasted pork, pumpkin and squash all taking centre stage. These more robust flavours need a punchier style of wine and, if you know where to look, there is a wine for everyone.
