World of Wine - A Travellers Wine Guide to Northern Italy
Discover the wine treasures of Piedmont and Lombardy.
From fast cars, fashion and football. To high art, high mountains and high prices - the best things in life aren’t always free - the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lombardy have it all; including a vibrant wine and food culture.
You may already be familiar with Barolo and Gavi but what about wines from the Timorasso and Pelaverga grape varieties?
I am fortunate that my job involves visiting some of the most fascinating wine regions in the world.
In this evening I will share a little of the wine and food culture from these travels.
The evening includes; a tutored tasting of six regional wines featuring popular favourites and lesser known discoveries paired with three small plates of authentic regional cuisine.
