Event Description
We are giving Rioja lovers the chance to join one or both of the Certified Rioja course days on an informal basis.
This will give you the chance to learn about the region and taste the exceptional wines without signing up for the course and the online learning modules.
Victoria will be tasting 15-17 high quality Rioja wines on each of the two Saturdays and you can book a place on one or both Saturdays at £75 per day.
Examples of the kinds of wines we shall be tasting on the course-
- comparative tasting of various single variety wines e.g. Garnacha, Graciano, Tempranillo Blanca, Maturana Tinta, Maturana Blanca
- comparative tasting of wines with different maturation regimes e.g. carbonic maceration, Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva
- comparative tasting of wines through different levels of the new terroir classicaton e.g. vino de zona, vino de municipio and vinedo singular
- sparkling Rioja
- tinto, rosado and blanco Rioja
