Event Description
Washington - The first commercial winery was created in Washington State in the 1960s, since then a $3 billion industry has developed. Now Washington is second only to California in United States wine production. As we will discover it has a natural landscape for viticulture, leading to the formation of many new wineries every year.
Oregon - Oregon has become one of the fastest-growing areas for viticulture in the world with over 350 wineries and 15 federally-designated appellations. Yet Oregon wineries tend to be small estates producing limited amounts of exceptional wine due to some of the strictest labelling laws in the USA.
This is part of our three week course - Wines from North America. Book all three for £130, saving £20 if booked individually.
