Event Description
On 24th May 1976 Stephen Spurrier put together a blind tasting competition as part of the bicentennial celebrations of the USA in Paris to allow the best palates of the wine world to pit the French Burgundy and Bordeaux giants against the new upstarts from California. This legendary event became known as the Judgement of Paris.
We are going to use this idea and host a tasting where you will taste a sparkling, white and red wine from Essex against some very similar wines from other regions from around the world.
Each pair of wines will be tasted blind and we will be scoring the wines out of 20. We wll take you through how to judge a wine as the professionals do to make it as 'scientific' as possible.
Which will you prefer?
This tasting includes six premium wines, a digital presentation, hand out notes and a selection of nibbles.
