The Grand Tour of France

Join us on this Grand tour as we try to squeeze into one evening the sheer diversity of wine styles France produce. Birthplace of “modern” wine, you’ll learn all about the grape varieties you know and love, including, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and many more. You’ll taste at least six excellent French wines, and discover wine regions that produce these grapes. Find out what ‘terroir’ mean and finally get a grasp on that baffling French wine label.

With such a wide choice of wines, we are spoilt for choice. We will pick from, the delights of Champagne, Loire - Vouvray Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, Burgundy – Chablis, Beaune, Pouilly Fuissé , Bordeaux – St Emilion, Margaux,  North Rhone – Cote Rotie, South Rhone – Chateauneuf-de-Pape,  South of France. 

Taste at least six wines, with cheeses.
