Following his long term passion after a career change, Gary achieved a distinction at WSET Level3 under the tuition of Rob Price at Birmingham Wine School in 2017. He then went on to successfully complete the WSET Diploma and is a WSET Certified Wine Educator. Despite being steeped in wine knowledge his motto is “everyday is a school day” and loves discovering new styles and reinterpretations of classic styles of wine, although when hard pressed on his “desert island wines” he would eventually admit to old world classics such as Claret, Barolo and Mosel Riesling.
