Event Description
Decanter magazine is widely considered one of the finest and well-respected wine publications in the world and on an annual basis they host the Decanter World Wine Awards which aims to unearth the best wines in the world across a multitude of categories. From the recent February 2022 edition ‘The Wines of the Year’ we have massed a selection of the best value wines from the world’s largest wine competition. All eight of the wines on the tasting have scored 95 points or more and are less than £15 per bottle making them arguably the best value wines in the world.
The selection includes exciting wines from France, Portugal, Spain, Chile and Slovenia with both recognised and unusual grape varieties featured.
Our expert wine tutor will guide you through what makes the wine so special including history, geology, geography, climate, weather, grape growing and winemaking in a wonderful curated tasting evening.
WSET-style tasting notes will also be available for each wine tasted - perfect to assist WSET Level 3 students with their studies.
