Event Description
There are plenty of myths surrounding Syrah, but one fact that clearly rings true is Syrah's diversity and expression of place. From the olive and pepper, savoury, structured examples of the Northern Rhone to the luscious liquorice and blackberry jam examples that you find in the Barossa, this is a grape that really shows its site specificity like few others.
This globetrotting tasting will take us from the grape's ancestral home in the Northern Rhone, across to North & South America, South Africa and on to Australasia via some of the grape's top producers and showing some well-aged examples to boot.
