Event Description
Most summers, wine school founder Jimmy Smith travels around Northern France - never missing a chance to visit the famous Champagne region. His visits include Barnaut, Krug, Thienot, Devaux, Gimmonet, Pol Roger, Bereche, Fleury, Laherte and Charles Hiedseick and he has hand-selected Champagnes to taste in one decadent evening in the lead-up to the Christmas festivities. There will be a tutored tasting on the region, production methods, regional districts and looking at (and tasting of course) the differences between the Grand Marques (famous Champagne houses e.g. Bollinger) and smaller Grower Champagne. We'll have a few local Champagne cheeses on offer too to soak up the fizz.
There will be seven Champagnes on tasting including a top vintage prestige cuvee such as Krug Grand Cuvee/Dom Perignon etc. There will be a full presentation, tasting notes and tasting sheets.
This is in perfect time for Xmas too - why not treat you and your friends/colleagues to a wonderful decadent evening. Nibbles and canapes will be served.
