Event Description
Join us as we kick-off our tour of Italy with a tasting of the wines of Piemonte, Lombardy & Trentino Alto-Adige. Arguably one of the most important regions for quality in Italy is Piemonte as it houses wines such as Barolo, Barberesco, Gavi and Asti with key wonderful grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese and Dolcetto. In addition there are up-and-coming wines from the regions next-door such as Lombardy where Nebbiolo also flourishes and Trentino Alto-Adige where there are aromatic whites and vibrant reds such as Lagrein and Teroldego.
This tasting is designed to explore the diverse variety of wines available from Italy produced from their fascinating indigenous grape varieties most of which are only found within Italy.
Big wine to look forward to: Barolo DOCG
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them; full tasting notes; tasting sheet; use of professional tastings glasses; a small selection of delicious cheese and charcuterie (with crackers) is served at this tasting.
We try to accommodate all dietary requirements, providing we are notified at least 48hrs in advance. Please note gates will open 30 minutes before the start of the class.
