Introduction to Sake Tasting

Looking for something new to drink this year? The popularity of sake is growing by leaps and bounds every year - come and find out what all the fuss is about! This amazing fermented beverage has over a thousand years of history and craftsmanship behind it, with styles and flavour profiles as complex and nuanced as anything in the wine or beer world and a comparable alcohol percentage to wine at around 15-16%.  

Join us at West London Wine School for an evening Introduction to Sake Tasting to start your journey of discovery. Our sake tutor Sarah (read about her here) will cover the basics of history, ingredients, production and classification, introduce the major styles and show how basic wine tasting principles can easily be applied to sake. We will taste six different styles of sake alongside cheese and nibbles to help enhance flavours and introduce sake and food pairing concepts.
