ONLINE TASTING: Meet the Winemaker - Graziano Nicosia of Sicily

Founded in 1898 on the slopes of Mt Etna and handed down from Father to Son for five generations, Nicosia is a historic family-owned winery rooted in the land and dedicated to producing great Sicilian wines. Estate owner, Graziano Nicosia, will guide us through the domaine's history and we'll taste some of Sicily's key grape varieties, including white and red wines grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, two single vineyard 'Contrada' wines from Monte Gorna & Monte San Nicolò. 

Mt. Etna, one of the tallest and most active volcanoes in the world, creates an incredible and unique environment for viticulture. In the last 20 years Etna DOC (est. 1968) has become one of the most exciting appellations in Italy. Cantine Nicosia is one of the original wineries to settle on Etna and one of the few still shepherding their own grapes from vine to bottle. 

Registration Includes:

Tasting kit containing 50ml samples of each wine tasted. Recording of the online event will be made available so, if you are unable to join live, you can catch up at your convenience.
