Henrik Nielsen

Henrik has had a long career as an NHS dentist, but decided wine was more interesting than teeth.

He studied his WSET Level 2 & 3 at West London Wine School and then went on to take his level 4 Diploma to be able to become a wine tutor.

He is passionate about wine, especially big, bold New World reds with lots of flavour (guess who has a tolerant palate!).

Travelling through Mosel and Alsace on a Harley Davidson and searching out a vineyard in Southern India shows his commitment to wine education! Let alone visiting over 30 vineyards in South East Australia.

Henrik wants to enthuse students not just with stories about the wines, but also knowledge so they will be able to make informed choices in restaurants or supermarkets. If they also get to taste something they haven’t tried before and they like it, then that is just an added bonus.
