Event Description
We'll taste 7 carefully selected Italian wines as we enjoy a 3-course menu full of Italian flavours. We'll start with a glass of Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco (the good stuff!), then explore a couple of Italian whites with our starters - think creamy burrata or crispy arancini, paired with crisp Gavi, Verdicchio or Vermentino wines. We'll then try three different reds - chosen from delicious Barolo, Chianti, Amarone and Primitivo - with our main course pasta or Roman pinsa (pizza). With dessert, it can only be the rich, sweet Vin Santo from Tuscany to finish.
The focus of the evening will be on enjoying the flavours of the wine and food in good company and a relaxed atmosphere - so no slides! You will have tasting notes to take away with details of the wines, the regions they come from, and tips on food pairings. And of course, you can ask any questions, test my knowledge of Italian wines and get personalised recommendations as I pour the wines and taste them with you.
