Our Saturday Introduction to Wine tasting course is a great way to spend the day - learning about wine in a fun and informal environment.
All this, plus a sumptuous two course lunch, some examples of the menu below:
Roasted pepper & tomato soup, crème fraiche, chive
Burrata, heritage beetroot, black olives & pine nuts
Tamarind spiced chicken wings, spring onions, coriander
Spicy tuna tartare, wonton crisps, creme fraiche, avocado
Roasted cod, crushed potatoes, artichoke, salted capers, red wine and lemon sauce
Baked spinach and ricotta cannelloni, tomato, mornay sauce, basil
BSK fish and chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce
Dry aged beef burger, Monterey jack cheese, sriracha, Koffmann’s fries
Chocolate brownie, salted caramel ice cream
Selection of ice cream and sorbets
Sticky toffee pudding & vanilla ice cream

The day runs from 11am to 4pm - starting with a decadent Champagne aperitif!

How wine is made: grapes, fermenting, ageing
How to taste wines like a professional: aromas, flavours, describing wines
Recognising elements of wine: tannin, acidity, oak
The effect of climate on the taste of wine
Which wines to buy, where to obtain the best value for money, storing and serving wine and understanding wine labels
