Event Description
California is a region renowned for pioneering wines, fresh seasonal ingredients, and the vibrant culinary movement known as “California cuisine.” This Wine & Dine evening brings together the very best of the West Coast’s food and wine heritage in a relaxed, sociable, and immersive tasting dinner.
The spirit of Californian cuisine
California cuisine is defined by freshness, seasonality, and bold creativity. Drawing on Italian, French, Mexican, and East Asian influences, it celebrates local produce in inventive ways while remaining approachable and flavourful. Expect dishes that highlight farm-to-table ingredients, imaginative combinations, and the natural abundance of the golden state.
A pioneering wine heritage
California is one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions, known for its innovation and diversity. From the rolling vineyards of Napa and Sonoma to the cooler coastal zones, winemakers have crafted world-class wines from the classic French varietals and other grapes from around the world. Iconic wines such as Old Vine Zinfandel illustrate the region’s rich history and pioneering spirit.
A journey through the Golden state
Your evening will begin with a glass of Louise Roderer's Quartet, a sparkling wine that epitomises the uniquely Californian blend of classic French winemaking expertise using super-ripe fruit, creating a refined yet flavour packed fizz.
You will then enjoy a selection of Californian wines designed to show the best of both the fusion style and more traditional Californian cuisine including a Santa Barbara Chadonnay from the iconic Fess Parker owned estate and a classic Califonian Old Vine Zinfandel.
