Event Description
Our Saturday Course is our flagship full-day food and wine experience. We ease you into the morning with a glass of English Fizz with breakfast inspired canapés and the day also includes a delicious 3-course seasonal lunch.
Our venue, The Last, is in the capable hands of Sebastian Tayor, whose career includes ten years at The Ritz in London and talented Head Chef Mortimer Fraser, 2024 finalist for the Norfolk Magazine Food & Drink Awards Chef of The Year. The day is hosted in the bright and comfortable restaurant area on the ground floor. Disabled access is available.
During the day you will taste at least 15 wines, from all around the world and learn all about wine including how to make amazig food and wine pairings.
The day is suitable for anybody, from beginners to budding connoisseurs and is a relaxed, informal event.
Overview of the day:
- The day starts at 10am with English Fizz and breakfast inspired canapes
- You'll then enjoy a pratical introduction to wine and wine tasting
- In the morning you'll taste a range of classic wines from the Old World, incuding France, Italy & Spain
- You'll then break for a delicious three-course seasonal lunch
- The afternoon starts with a fun blind tasting session
- This is followed by a tour of the New World tasting wines from Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina & South Africa
- Finally we'll reveal how you can make great food and wie pairings and the day finishes with some fine cheese paired with wine
The day finishes at around 4pm. If arranging transport home we recommend you are picked up around 30 minutes after the event finishes as it can run over a little.
