Fine Port & Cheese evening

Indulge yourself in a very special tasting dedicated to Port, one of the world's most unique wine styles. 

This tasting will take you through the history of Port from the 1st recorded shipment in 1678 to the modern day. We'll explain what makes it one of the world's most fascinating wines and the difference between the main styles.

The evening kicks off with a White Port served as a long-drink and includes a tasting of six different Ports covering all the major Port styles including Ruby, LBV & Tawny.

You're also in for a real treat as the tasting includes a Port from the unanimously declared 2011 vintage which Wine Spectator described as 'Fresh, powerful and explosively fruity, the 2011 Vintage Ports are likely to stand as a benchmark of quality in the decades ahead'.

Of course, fine Port deserves good cheese so we've also paired a couple of the Ports with some equally fine cheeses. To get you in the festive spirit you'll enjoy the one of the Ports paired with a locally sourced artisanal Mince Pie.

• An unfiltered LBV from a leading Port house
• A single vineyard Vintage Port
