About the venue
The Assembly House is a magnificent Grade I listed Georgian building located in the heart of Norwich, originally designed in 1754 by architect Thomas Ivory.
Built on the site of a medieval chapel, it was created as a grand “House of Assemblies” where Norwich’s society gathered for balls, concerts, and social events, quickly becoming one of the city’s most important cultural venues.
