It's time to fire up the BBQ and join us to explore how to pair wine with smokehouse & BBQ'd food. Includes a freshly flipped burger straight from The Walled Garden BBQ served with salad and Chipotle slaw.
Char-grilled BBQ and smokehouse flavours are very much on-trend and work well with a whole range of different foods including, fish, chicken red meat and fresh vegetables.
While you settle in with a glass of fizz we'll explain how cooking with fire and extreme heat changes the taste and texture of food. Throw in the mix a tendency to use lots of big, bold flavours like chilli and sweet, sticky marinades and sauces and there's a lot to consider when pairing BBQ'd food with wine.
We'll show you how you can pair those big, bold smoky flavours with wine and get you pairing a selection of three different wines with a range of smoked savoury snacks.
Finally you'll enjoy a BBQ'd burger in a bun with salad and slaw served with another selection of 3 different wines. Which wine will pair best with your burger? You decide!
