Event Description
We start our journey in France's most northerly wine producing region -Champagne where we explore the different areas and grapes used in this most special of wines.
From there we move accross to Alsace - the wine trade's favourite and a historically fascinating enclave. Riesling rules here and we taste atypical example.
Then it's off to the Loire to sample its signature variety- Sauvignon Blanc.
Next up is Burgundy to examine what makes Pinot Noir so special
Then accross to Bordeaux to see how the blending of red grape varieties produces such unique and complex wines
Finally we end our trip in the south west of France to discover more about the home of Malbec - Cahors
A vinous road trip round France in two hours with some samples of cheeses and nibbles (French, of course).
