Event Description
You spoke, we listened, so here it is, our first ever Greek Masterclass. The modernisation of Greece’s wine industry over the last 25 years has been nothing short of revolutionary. Early stages may have focussed on seeing how classic French grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah performed under the dazzling sunlight, but the emphasis now is on the native grapes – after all, they’re the ones that have thrived here for centuries.
As with all our Masterclasses, we’re aiming high: the average price for the eight wines we’re trying tops the £25 mark. We’ll be trying (dry) whites made from Savatiano, Malagousia and Assyrtiko, and reds from Limniona, Mouhtaro, Xinomavro and Agiorgitiko, and we’ll finish on a sumptuous aged Muscat.
These wonderful wines that offer flavours you simply don’t find elsewhere – so do join us for what is sure to be a fascinating tasting
