Event Description
Italy, a country that loves wine, and a country where their wine is almost certainly best when drunk with food. Join us as we travel through the very different and fascinating wine regions of Italy. We will taste some of the indigenous grapes that make Italian wine so different and intriguing such as Nebbiolo (Barolo), Sangiovese (Chianti) and Corvina (Valpolicella).
Italy can be the most confusing wine country to get to know, with its enormous diversity of wine styles, often from the same town! We will wander through the north of the country, from the NW (Piedmont) to the NE (Veneto), through Tuscany and the Marches to the warm south (Puglia, Campania, & Sicily). You will experience, first hand, the amazing range of grape varieties and flavours that Italy has to offer. You will taste some classic Italian wines, along with some new- wave wines from really cutting edge winemakers.
Great value at £35 and includes at least 6 wines to taste, tasting notes and a selection of cheese and ham to nibble on!
