Event Description
The only problem with France having so many historically famous wine regions is that other districts have been neglected. Better training, improved technology (especially refrigeration) and a move away from bulk wine production has led to a surge in quality in many cellars, and the (good) wines are among some of the greatest bargains you’ll now find in France.
There’ll be wines from Provence (pink AND red), there’ll be Languedoc reds based on spicy grapes such as Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, there’ll be a couple of of crisp whites (including one from Corsica) and there’ll be a trio of greats from the South West in the form of Cahors, Madiran and Jurançon
