Event Description
This April, we’re testing the water with our first out-of-town tasting. OK, Prestwich isn’t all that far out of town, but you’ve got to start somewhere. So we’re convening in the upstairs room above the Grape to Grain shop/bar on Church Lane which is just the right size for small-scale tastings, giving us a chance to open some of those wines where we have only one bottle.
In each session, there’ll be ~7 wines with a theme running through at least three of them. For Session 1, that theme is Syrah/Shiraz, and we’re planning to open six classy examples from France (2 x Rhône + a Languedoc), Australia (McLaren Vale & Grampians) and New Zealand (Hawke’s Bay). There’ll also be a sparkling intro, all the way from…well, somewhere unusual - you’re going to have to come along to find out where. But it will be both good and interesting, as will the rest of the evening – we’d love to see you there!
