Event Description
іMajestuoso, Magnífico. Mágico!
All words that perfectly describe Galicia. Cape Finisterre, or the end of the world to the Celts, is a part of Spain like no other. A region that’s ethereal in its legend; where you still feel the mystical wonder the Celts felt as they gazed over the landscape that resembled the ‘hand print of God’. Criss-crossed with well-trodden pilgrimage paths, it’s home to a landscape that’s rich in history & astonishing beauty.
Join Victoria, fresh from her travels to Galicia, on this unique masterclass Victoria is an unashamed lover of all things Spanish. She's worked, studied, lived, travelled – and eaten – her way through the country she considers to be her spiritual home.
It was during those early years travelling that Victoria had one of those wine & food epiphanies; a moment of total wonder & clarity. Having stopped off in a dark & dingy bar, with a cigarette butt & discarded napkin strewn floor – a sure sign of quality in a Spanish bar – she tasted the magical combination of a crisp, lightly chilled Treixadura wine from DO Ribeiro with Tetilla, the local cheese. Quite simply, heaven!
The perfect sign, in just one sumptuous mouthful, of how complex and incredible the food & wine culture of Spain is. Two unique products that perfectly encapsulate the individuality & regionality of Spain’s diverse regions.
Galicia is a region of revelations from the seaside vineyards of Rias Baixas to the mountainour slopes of Valedorras. Join us and explore the wonderully unique wines paired with tasting samples of regional food.
Your tasting will include: tasting samples of six carefully selected wines paired with regional foods, full wine notes & handouts, a 2 hour interactive presentation, with Q&A throughout, led by our wine tutor.
