The New Face of Australian Wine

The wine scene is ever evolving & vineyard owners & wine makers are for ever moving with the times. Nowhere is this more evident that in Australia.

Climate change, water shortage, unpredictable weather patterns & global drinks trends mean that the "traditional" image we have of Australian wine is changing rapidly.  Big, robust high alcohol Shiraz and richly oaked Chardonnays are still to be found and, increasingly, are few and far between.

In their place we have the migration of grapes, from counties like Spain & Portugal, over to the vineyards of Australia. New, innovative & fascintating winemaking techniques to bring freshness & vibrancy to wines.  Avante-garde wine styles that would traditionally have been a world away from our preceptions of "Australian wine".
