Event Description
On 24th May 1976 Stephen Spurrier put together a blind tasting competition as part of the bicentennial celebrations of the USA in Paris to allow the best palates of the wine world to pit the French Burgundy and Bordeaux giants against the new upstarts from California. This legendary event became known as the Judgement of Paris.
This iconic tasting put Napa well and truly on the wine map.
