Daniel is a relative newcomer to the world of wine education, although has been an avid consumer for many decades. Being a University Senior Lecturer who specialises in the heart and blood vessels, education and the sharing of knowledge is a particular passion for him. It may not be too surprising given the day job that its red wine he naturally gravitates towards! That aside, he has a thirst for knowledge of anything wine related and revels in helping others understand the intricacies of (and science behind) the wines they drink.
Over the past year Daniel has studied both WSET Level 2 and Level 3, passing both with distinction. Moreover, he is a highest honours graduate from the Spanish Wine Scholar Guild Program and successfully completed the Rioja Wine Academy Diploma program. In the coming year he aims to start his WSET Diploma in Wines studies and be a French Wine Scholar Guild graduate.
