Course Description
There are well over 1000 different grape varieties but our wine buying is often dominated by the top 8: Chardonnay. Riesling, Pinot Gris / Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon.
Yet how many times have you enjoyed one particular glass of Chardonnay, but not the other? Why does one taste delicious and the other has no appeal at all?
Our palates are all different, wonderfully so. These 8 grapes may be the most planted in the world, yet they all taste so different depending on the climate, vineyard location, soil, vine training and, of course, wine making.
Join us and discover the huge range of styles, aromas and tastes these 8 classic grapes have as we travel around the world, taste as we go! You'll re-discover wines you knew you liked, meet plenty of new wines that will become firm favourites and definitely try a few quirky styles!
