Event Description
‘The fastest wine-growth country in the world spearheaded by Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc & Central Otago Pinot Noir’ – Cecile
Marlborough is a small region conquering the wine world by storm. The punchy and complex Sauvignon Blanc from here always delivers and has won the hearts of many a wine enthusiast. But the best kept secrets are their own expressions of (especially) Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. In this session we dive into these newcomers on the UK market in order to understand what makes New Zealand such an attractive proposition.
We shall taste and study 6 wines chosen from New Zealand’s best famous wineries and award-winning small growers, for not only do they consciously express the characterful nature of each grape variety as well as the contrasting personalities behind each wine, but they also deliver a consistent thread of exquisite world-class wine quality, year in, year out.
