Event Description
For some years now, Mexico has been establishing itself as an accomplished producer, and was actually the first country in the Americas to plant the common grape vine, brought to the continent by the Spanish conquistadors.
Indeed, Mexican wine and winemaking began with the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century, when they brought vines from Europe to modern day Mexico, the oldest wine-growing region in the Americas!
Nowadays, with over 50 wineries, numerous delectable restaurants, and a handful of small B&Bs, The Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico is the next big wine destination!
So let me introduce you to the next big thing in wine ... Mexico. We shall taste 6 very different white and red wines that illustrate the History and unique terroir of Mexico.
You have travelled and tasted wines from Argentina and Chile before, well, do not expect the same styles from Mexico, which is much hotter that the rest of the Americas ... an oddity in the World of wines ... well worth trying!
