This tasting will introduce you to the premium wines of Rioja. We'll cover the subzones, villages, key grapes and producers (new and traditional) that make this such a world famous wine region.
You'll get up to speed with recent changes to Rioja's wine law and labelling and taste six well chosen wines that will give you a window into the different styles of Rioja being made today.
Six fine wines on tasting will include:
- Tempranillo blends
- Single varietal Graciano
- Village wines
- Single vineyard wine
- Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva styles
You will get the chance to try wines from classic traditional producers like Muga and Marques de Murrieta alongside younger generation winemakers. Some of the wines will be blends across a sub zone or several sub zones, others will be village or estate wines.
If opulent, classy red wines based on Tempranillo are your thing then you will not want to miss out on this fantastic wine tasting.
