Hola! Join Cheshire Mersey Local Wine School for an exciting Spanish and Portuguese wine tasting, exploring the diverse and consistently popular wines of the Iberian Peninsula.
We’ll celebrate classic favourites such as Rioja and Tempranillo, while also discovering exciting wines from lesser-known regions and grape varieties across Spain and Portugal.
Our wine journey takes us from the cool, coastal vineyards of Rías Baixas, home of fresh and aromatic Albariño, through Rueda, Rioja, Catalonia and Alicante, before finishing in Portugal’s Douro or Dão regions.
Taste seven wines such as Albariño, Verdejo, oak-aged Rioja, Priorat, Monastrell and Touriga Nacional, while learning about Spanish and Portuguese wine regions, grape varieties and winemaking techniques.
Professional ISO tasting glasses, tasting notes and course materials are provided, along with Spanish-inspired snacks to complement the wines.
